Deep Cove

Getting Here

Deep Cove is 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver — but parking can be a challenge. Here's what to know.

🚗 By Car from Downtown Vancouver

Cross the Second Narrows Bridge (Ironworkers Memorial Bridge) and take the Mount Seymour Parkway exit. Follow Mount Seymour Parkway east for ~5 km, turn left onto Deep Cove Road, and follow it to the end. Total: ~30 minutes, ~20 km.

From the West Shore, take Highway 1 east to the Mount Seymour Parkway exit and follow the same route.

🅿️ Parking

Seasonal pay parking is in effect from March 1 to October 31 — $3/hour from 8am to 6pm daily at Panorama Park and Deep Cove Park lots. On sunny weekends, lots are typically full by 9am.

The main lot is on the east side of Panorama Drive (3-hour limit, strictly enforced). Additional lots are on Rockliff Road between Naughton Avenue (4-hour limit) and Raeburn Street.

Street parking has restrictions 8am–8pm from March 1 to October 31. Some streets are resident-permit-only year-round. Read all posted signs — towing is actively enforced.

Overflow: Myrtle Park lots are available when village lots are full. School lots at Cove Cliff Elementary and Seycove Secondary open seasonally on weekends. Check DNV's summer parking page for current availability.

🚌 By Transit (Recommended on Weekends)

Two bus routes serve Deep Cove village directly:

Route 211 — From Burrard Station in downtown Vancouver via Pender Street and Mt Seymour Parkway, stopping at Phibbs Exchange en route to Deep Cove.

Route 212 — From Phibbs Exchange via Dollarton Highway directly to Deep Cove village. Phibbs Exchange is accessible via SeaBus from Waterfront Station.

Total transit time from downtown Vancouver: ~50–60 min. Use a Compass Card or contactless payment. Check TransLink.ca for current schedules.

🚴 By Bicycle

Cycling to Deep Cove is a popular option. The most common route follows the Spirit Trail then Mount Seymour Parkway. Deep Cove Road has a steep descent into the village — use caution. Bike racks are available near Panorama Park.

⏰ Best Time to Visit

Weekdays are dramatically quieter. On weekends, before 9am or after 3pm is best. Rainy days are excellent — the trails are atmospheric in mist and you will have Quarry Rock largely to yourself.

🐕 Dogs & Park Rules

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leash. Panorama Park has a designated off-leash area at the far end.

Alcohol is permitted at Deep Cove Park and Panorama Park from 11am to dusk daily — but not within 10 metres of playgrounds or sport courts, and not on trails or forested areas. Drink responsibly and pack out your recycling.
